A sweet pocket watch holder, late 1800s Swiss Black Forest carved box which opens and folds so it is a bedside display for the night. Charming carved acorns and oak leaves as cartouche on the lid and a wonderful fluted outer form. Intricately crafted and in such fine shape. Measurements noted on the photos. 

Very good to excellent condition for age and type. Beautifully preserved, I don't find a single chip or nip and no hairlines or cracks. The old original velvet still lines the watch recess, as shown.
